Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
तं देव देवोपममात्मजं तेसर्वस्य लोकस्य हिते निविष्टम्।हिताय नः क्षिप्रमुदारजुष्टंमुदाऽभषेक्तुं वरद त्वमर्हसि।।2.2.54।।
taṃ deva devopamam ātmajaṃ te sarvasya lokasya hite niviṣṭam | hitāya naḥ kṣipram udārajuṣṭaṃ mudā ’bhiṣektuṃ varada tvam arhasi || 2.2.54 ||
హే వరదా! ఆనందంతో ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా, సమస్త లోకహితంలో నిమగ్నుడైన, మనుష్యులలో దేవసముడైన, ఉదారగుణసంపన్నుడైన మీ కుమారుని—మా మంగళార్థం—యువరాజ్యాభిషేకంతో అభిషేకించుట మీకు సముచితం।
