Transliteration

tathā hy alarkas tejasvī brāhmaṇe vedapārage |

yācamāne svake netre uddhṛtya avimanā dadau ||

Translation

అలాగే తేజస్సుగల రాజు అలర్కుడు—వేదపారంగత బ్రాహ్మణుడు తన కన్నులను యాచించినప్పుడు—తన కన్నులనే తీసి, మనస్సు చలించక, దానమిచ్చెను।
