वि॒द्म वै ते॑ जायान्य॒ जानं॒ यतो॑ जायान्य॒ जाय॑से । क॒थं ह॒ तत्र॒ त्वं ह॑नो॒ यस्य॑ कृ॒ण्मो ह॒विर्गृ॒हे

vidmá vái te jāyānya jánam yáto jāyānya jā́yase | katháṃ há tátra tváṃ hanó yásya kṛṇmó havír gṛhé ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

We know, in sooth, thy birth, O Jāyānya—whence, O Jāyānya, thou art born. How then shalt thou there smite him in whose house we make the oblation?

Translation

ఓ జాయాన్యా, నీ జన్మమును నిజముగా మేము తెలుసుకొన్నాము; ఏ మూలమునుండి, ఓ జాయాన్యా, నీవు జన్మించితివో. అప్పుడు మేము హవిస్సును గృహమందు సమర్పించు వాని మీద నీవు అక్కడ ఎలా ప్రహరించగలవు?
