Sukta 35
अ॒स्मा इदु॒ प्रय॑ इव॒ प्र यं॑सि॒ भरा॑म्याङ्गू॒षं बाधे॑ सुवृ॒क्ति। इन्द्रा॑य हृ॒दा मन॑सा मनी॒षा प्र॒त्नाय॒ पत्ये॒ धियो॑ मर्जयन्त
asmā́ id u práyaḥ iva prá yáṃsi bhárāmy āṅgūṣáṃ bā́dhe suvṛ́ktim | índrā́ya hṛdā́ mánasā manīṣā́ pratnā́ya pátye dhíyo marjayanta
To him, yea verily, as (men bring) refreshment which thou bestowest, I bring a laud of praise, a well-wrought utterance for repelling (harm). For Indra—by heart, by mind, by inspired thought—unto the ancient Lord, the Master, the devotions cleanse themselves for power.
ఆయనకే—నీవు ప్రసాదించే పోషణ/ప్రసాదంలా—నేను ఈ అంగూషం (స్తుతిగీతం) తీసుకొస్తాను; హాని/అడ్డంకి (బాధ) తొలగించుటకు ఈ సువృక్తి, సుగుణంగా నిర్మిత వాక్కు. ఇంద్రునికై—హృదయంతో, మనస్సుతో, మనీషా (ప్రేరిత బుద్ధితో)—ఆ ప్రాచీన ప్రభువు, అధిపతికై మా ధియః (భక్తిచింతనలు) శక్తి/తేజస్సుకోసం తమను తాము శుద్ధి చేసుకుంటాయి.
