vāsantā́ enam mā́sau prā́cyā diśó gopāyato bṛhácca rathantaráṃ cā́nu tiṣṭhato yá eváṃ véda
The two vernal months guard him from the eastern quarter; and Bṛhat and Rathantara stand attendant upon him—whoso thus knoweth.
Rishi: Traditionally associated with Atharvanic seers in AV 15 (cosmic/royal-cosmological material); specific r̥ṣi attribution varies in ancillary lists
Devata: Dik (East) with personified Vāsanta months; Sāman-powers Bṛhat and Rathantara as efficacious supports
Chandas: Mixed/prose-like Atharvanic style; not strictly metrical in the RV sense (often treated as yajus-like phrasing in AV 15)
Primary: shanta
Secondary: adbhuta
