Sukta 2
अस्त्रा॒ नील॑शिखण्डेन सहस्रा॒क्षेण॑ वा॒जिना॑ । रु॒द्रेणा॑र्धकघा॒तिना॒ तेन॒ मा सम॑रामहि
astrā́ nī́laśikhaṇḍena sahasrākṣéṇa vājínā | rudréṇārdhakaghātínā ténā mā sám āramahi ||
With weapons—with the blue-crested, the thousand-eyed, the swift— with Rudra, the half-slayer: with him may we confront (the peril) for my defence.
అస్త్రాలతో—నీలశిఖండధారి, సహస్రాక్షుడు, వేగవంతుడు—రుద్రుడు, అర్ధఘాతకుడు—అతనితోనే మేము (ఈ ప్రమాదాన్ని) ఎదుర్కొందుము, నా రక్షణార్థం.
