Kṛṣṇāṣṭamī Observance
Varāha (default, verse fragment lacks explicit speaker marker)
It reflects the Purāṇic genre’s consolidation of vrata (observance) literature, where monthly discipline and calendrical rites are presented as socially meaningful practices within early medieval Hindu textual culture.
No geographic site is named in this verse fragment; the focus is calendrical (Kṛṣṇāṣṭamī) rather than a tīrtha or place-based tradition.
Regularity and rule-governed discipline (vidhi) in observance is emphasized; the verse frames consistent monthly practice as efficacious within the text’s ritual-ethical worldview.
