The ‘Iron-Bolt’ Tīrtha
धाराः पतन्ति तिस्रस्तु न स्थूला नाति वै कृशाः ॥ तत्राभिषेकं कुर्वीत पञ्च कालोषितो नरः
dhārāḥ patanti tisras tu na sthūlā nāti vai kṛśāḥ || tatrābhiṣekaṃ kurvīta pañca kāloṣito naraḥ
Ali caem três correntes, nem grossas nem excessivamente delgadas. Ali o homem deve realizar a ablução ritual (abhiṣeka), tendo observado a disciplina dos cinco períodos (pañca-kāla).
Varāha
It records a standardized ritual regimen (pañca-kāla observance) attached to a specific hydro-feature, showing how Purāṇic texts encode both topography and timed disciplines.
The setting is Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa (from the preceding verse), characterized here by three descending streams.
Perform abhiṣeka with regulated observance (pañca-kāla), emphasizing measured discipline rather than excess.
