Transliteration

náhi vā́ṃ vavráyāmahe ’théndram íd yajāmahe śáviṣṭhaṃ nṛṇā́ṃ náram | sá naḥ kadā́ cíd árvatā gámadā́ vā́ja-sātaye gámadā́ médha-sātaye nábhantām anyaké samé ||

Translation

Não procuramos barrar-vos; antes, sacrificamos a Indra somente, o mais poderoso, o herói entre os homens. Que ele venha a nós algum dia com o seu corcel para a conquista de vāja, a plenitude da força, e para a conquista de medhā, a inteligência luminosa; que os outros sejam expulsos do mesmo recinto.
