Sukta 8.37
क्षत्राय त्वमवसि न त्वमाविथ शचीपत इन्द्र विश्वाभिरूतिभिः । माध्यंदिनस्य सवनस्य वृत्रहन्ननेद्य पिबा सोमस्य वज्रिवः ॥
kṣatrā́ya tvám ávasi ná tvam ā́vitha śacī-pate índra víśvābhir ū́tibhiḥ | mādhyáṃdinasya sávanasya vṛtra-hann anédya píbā sómasya vajrivaḥ ||
Para kṣatra, o poder soberano, tu concedes proteção; ninguém senão tu o protege, ó Indra Śacīpati, com todos os teus auxílios. No prensar do meio-dia, ó Vṛtrahan, irrepreensível, bebe do Soma, ó Vajrin, portador do raio.
