यदासु मर्तो अमृतासु निस्पृक्सं क्षोणीभिः क्रतुभिर्न पृङ्क्ते । ता आतयो न तन्वः शुम्भत स्वा अश्वासो न क्रीळयो दन्दशानाः ॥

Transliteration

yád āsu márto amṛ́tāsu ni-spṛ́k sám kṣoṇī́bhir kratúbhir ná pṛ́ṅkte | tā́ ātáyo ná tanvàḥ śúmbhata svā́ aśvā́so ná krīḷáyo dándaśānāḥ ||

Translation

Quando o mortal, intocado, não se mescla com os Imortais —nem pelos poderes firmados na terra nem pelas vontades discernentes (krátu)—, então esses impulsos não adornam o seu ser corporificado: como cavalos brincalhões, mordentes e inquietos, permanecem seus, porém sem harmonia.
