तत्र स्थितो द्वादशाब्दव्रती सङ्गविवर्जितः॥ पक्षाहारी च फलभुग्दर्शे वै पौर्णमासिके॥

ਉੱਥੇ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਤ ਧਾਰਿਆ, ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ। ਉਹ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ, ਫਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਿਭਾਂਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਵਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨਿਮਾ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ ਨਿਯਮ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
