ਇਹ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਆਥਰਵਣਿਕ ਟੋਣਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਲਾਂ, ਅਗਨੀ-ਸਹਾਇਤ ਪੁਨਰਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ-ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਰਿਤੁਅਲ ਵਚਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਿਰ੍ਰਿਤੀ—ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ, ਖ਼ਸਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ-ਸਮਾਨ ਅਸ਼ੁਭਤਾ—ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਫਲ ਜਾਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਛੂਹ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਪਸ਼ਕੁਨ “ਸੰਪਰਕ” ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੈਲ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਫਿਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ, ਤੇਜ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਨ-ਦਾਇਕ ਮੰਗਲਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਕੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

यदि॑ वृ॒क्षाद॒भ्यप॑प्त॒त् फलं॒ तद् यद्य॒न्तरि॑क्षा॒त् स उ॑ वा॒युरे॒व। यत्रास्पृ॑क्षत् त॒न्वो॒३यच्च॒ वास॑स॒ आपो॑ नुदन्तु॒ निरृ॑तिं परा॒चैः
ਜੇ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਫਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ—ਜਾਂ ਅੰਤਰਿਕਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ: ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਵਾਯੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵਸਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ (ਛੂਹਿਆ ਹੈ)—ਜਲ ਨਿਰ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ, ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ, ਧੱਕ ਕੇ ਹਟਾ ਦੇਣ।
