The Demon King’s Council Deliberation and the Mobilization of an Army to Conquer the Devas
एवमुक्तस्तथोवाच प्रघसो दानवेश्वरम् । या सा ते कथिता दैत्य नारदेन महासती । सा शक्तिः परमा देवी वैष्णवी लोकधारिणी ॥
evam uktas tathovāca praghaso dānaveśvaram | yā sā te kathitā daitya nāradena mahāsatī | sā śaktiḥ paramā devī vaiṣṇavī lokadhāriṇī ||
Setelah demikian disapa, Praghasa pun berkata kepada raja para Dānava: “Wahai Daitya, wanita suci agung yang diceritakan Nārada kepadamu itu—dialah Śakti tertinggi, Dewi Vaiṣṇavī, penyangga segala loka (dunia).”
Praghasa
It reflects a common Purāṇic theological idiom where cosmic stability is attributed to a supreme śakti, here explicitly identified as Vaiṣṇavī, illustrating sectarian vocabulary within a broader Sanskrit mythic archive.
No explicit geographic location appears in this verse; its focus is conceptual (cosmic sustenance: loka-dhāraṇa).
Rather than a direct moral injunction, the verse conveys a philosophical instruction: recognizing a sustaining cosmic principle (śakti) behind worldly order.
