The Puṇḍarīkākṣapāraka Hymn and Puṣkara Tīrtha: The Account of King Vasu’s Release from Sin
Apakah sifatnya? Wahai Parameśvara, jelaskanlah kepadaku dengan benar, menurut makna hakikinya.”
Dharaṇī (Pṛthivī)
It exemplifies the Purāṇic dialogic method where a personified Earth (Dharaṇī/Pṛthivī) asks about the authority and transmission of a hymn, reflecting how devotional and philosophical materials are framed as remembered tradition (smṛta) within Sanskrit textual culture.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; the focus is on a textual object (a stotra) and its traditional recollection.
The verse foregrounds an ethic of inquiry and accurate understanding: it asks for an explanation “tattvataḥ” (in accordance with the essential truth), emphasizing careful transmission and responsible interpretation rather than mere repetition.
