The Puṇḍarīkākṣapāraka Hymn and Puṣkara Tīrtha: The Account of King Vasu’s Release from Sin
श्रीवराह उवाच । एवमुक्त्वा ततो राजा विमानवरमास्थितः । परेण तेजसा योगमवापाशेषधारिणि ॥ ६.४१ ॥
śrīvarāha uvāca | evam uktvā tato rājā vimāna-varam āsthitaḥ | pareṇa tejasā yogam avāpa aśeṣa-dhāriṇi || 6.41 ||
Śrī Varāha bersabda: Setelah berkata demikian, raja pun menaiki vimāna yang unggul; dan, wahai Pemangku segala sesuatu tanpa tersisa, baginda mencapai penyatuan yoga melalui cahaya tejas yang tertinggi.
Varāha
It preserves a common Purāṇic narrative motif—royal transition or ascent (vimāna) paired with yogic attainment—useful for comparing how Purāṇas frame kingship, mobility, and spiritual power within epic-style storytelling.
No specific place-name appears in this verse; it is primarily a narrative transition describing ascent into a vimāna and attainment of yoga through supreme tejas.
Rather than a direct injunction, the verse foregrounds a philosophical theme: disciplined attainment (yoga) is presented as achievable through elevated inner power (tejas), within a narrative of responsible authority (the king).
