It reflects how Purāṇic texts organize large bodies of place-based tradition—using list-verses to map cultural space and guide later compilers, commentators, and pilgrimage manuals.
Dvāravatī is a prominent western Indian sacred toponym in Purāṇic literature; Goniṣkrama and Lauhārgala are additional named tīrthas whose modern correlations depend on regional textual parallels and epigraphic geography.
The implicit instruction is cultural stewardship: sites are treated as repositories of narrative and memory, meriting careful preservation and non-exploitative visitation.
