ततो वैतरणी घोरा संभूता निम्नगा तथा ॥ सफेनसलिलावर्त्ता दुस्तरा पापकर्मिणाम्
tato vaitaraṇī ghorā saṃbhūtā nimnagā tathā || saphenasalilāvartā dustarā pāpakarmiṇām
Kemudian terjadilah Sungai Vaitaraṇī yang menggerunkan, sebuah sungai juga; pusarannya mengacau air yang berbuih, amat sukar diseberangi oleh mereka yang berbuat dosa.
