Setelah bebas daripada segala dosa, dia bersukacita bersama para leluhur (pitṛ) dan tinggal lama di alam syurga—hingga genap tempoh yang ditentukan bagi kelahiran itu (di sana).
Varāha
Even exalted post-mortem enjoyments are time-bound by the remaining stock of merit that conditions that birth.
Pursue dharma and devotion without clinging to svarga as final; aim for lasting liberation rather than temporary celestial reward.
Sinlessness (through prescribed conduct/merit) leads to rejoicing with the Pitṛs and prolonged residence in Svarga until that karmically-conditioned birth-term ends.
Freed from sins one attains heavenly enjoyment with ancestors for a long duration; when the svarga-birth’s sustaining karma is exhausted, that state ends.
Varāha Purāṇa: surrounding discourse on merit, sin-removal, and post-mortem destinations (contextual)
It exemplifies Purāṇic reward-language linking ritual performance to moral purification and post-mortem cosmological outcomes.
No specific place-name occurs in this verse; it speaks generally of svargaloka (a cosmological realm rather than a terrestrial site).
The verse frames ethical causality: meritorious acts are presented as leading to purification and beneficial outcomes for oneself and one’s ancestral lineage.
