ब्राह्मण उवाच ॥ एवमेव व्रतस्यास्य विधानं कर्मसंहितम् ॥ पुराणं कथितं राज्ञे मान्धात्रे पृच्छते पुरा

Brahmana berkata: ‘Demikianlah ketetapan bagi vrata ini, beserta himpunan amalan yang ditentukan. Purāṇa ini dahulu pernah diceritakan kepada Raja Māndhātṛ ketika baginda bertanya.’
