What inner qualities enable one to transcend even Brahmaloka and attain Varāha’s own realm?
relieved and contemplative; oriented toward liberation beyond heavens
Varāha as the transcendent refuge: beyond graded heavens; boar-avatāra here functions as the Supreme who grants para-gati when rāga-moha are cut.
Implicit: ‘crossing beyond’ loka resembles completing the sacrifice and reaching its consummation; no explicit limb-mapping in this verse.
Vairāgya (freedom from attachment/delusion) + viveka (buddhi/mati) as prerequisites for higher liberation; Brahmaloka is still within saṃsāric gradation.
Even the highest created heaven is not final; liberation-oriented devotion requires wisdom and dispassion.
Cultivate discernment (buddhi, mati) and reduce rāga-moha through disciplined living, study, and devotion; treat merits as means, not ends.
Varāha Purāṇa 141.42 (Brahmaloka fruit); Varāha Purāṇa 141.43 (qualification through observance and niṣṭhā)
It integrates ethical psychology (rāga/moha) with cosmological ascent, illustrating how Purāṇic texts connect inner virtues with imagined cosmic destinations.
No terrestrial site is named here; the verse refers to cosmological realms (Brahmaloka and ‘my world’).
Cultivate discernment and freedom from attachment and delusion as central virtues.
