The Episode of the Khañjarīṭa Bird
and the Saukarava Tīrtha’s Merit
It provides a stylized description of an idealized realm/community, valuable for comparative studies of Purāṇic utopian imagery, health metaphors, and yogic identity.
The implied setting continues to be Śvetadvīpa (from the preceding verse), a cosmological locale in Purāṇic mapping.
Well-being is linked with disciplined practice (yoga) and a harmonious, non-afflicted mode of life—an ethical ideal expressed through health and sensory metaphors.
