Hymn to Varāha and Pṛthivī’s Inquiry
Prelude to the Sanatkumāra Dialogue
Pṛthivī (default, hymn-voice addressing Varāha/Viṣṇu in dialogue frame)
It demonstrates the Purāṇic habit of identifying a single supreme principle with multiple mythic figures (Ananta, Takṣaka, Varuṇa), reflecting integrative theology in classical India.
No explicit location is named; the verse refers broadly to cosmic beings (Nāgas) and elemental domains (waters/flow).
Implicitly, it emphasizes cosmic order and governance of natural forces (associated with Varuṇa), encouraging respect for regulative principles rather than disorder.
