Mudgala Upanishad 5: Verse 5
तस्माद्विराडित्यनया पादनारायणाद्धरेः । प्रकृतेः पुरुषस्यापि समुत्पत्तिः प्रदर्शिता ॥
तस्मात् । विराट्-इति । अनया । पाद-नारायणात् । हरेः । प्रकृतेः । पुरुषस्य । अपि । समुत्पत्तिः । प्रदर्शिता ॥
tasmād virāḍ ity anayā pāda-nārāyaṇād hareḥ | prakṛteḥ puruṣasyāpi samutpattiḥ pradarśitā ||
Oleh itu, melalui (mantra) yang bermula dengan “virāṭ”, telah diperlihatkan bahawa daripada Pāda-Nārāyaṇa—Hari—timbulnya prakṛti (hakikat alam) dan juga puruṣa (roh diri).
Therefore, by this (mantra) beginning “virāṭ”, the arising of prakṛti and of puruṣa as well from Pāda-Nārāyaṇa—Hari—has been shown.
