एष शुष्म्यदाभ्यः सोमः पुनानो अर्षति । देवावीरघशंसहा ॥

eṣá śuṣmy ádābhyaḥ sómaḥ punānó arṣati | devā́-vīr aghaśaṃsa-hā́ ||

Soma ini, perkasa dan tidak terkalahkan, mengalir sambil menyucikan diri; ia membawa daya-daya kepahlawanan para dewa, dan memusnahkan ujaran permusuhan—kepalsuan dan dosa—dalam diri kita.
