घृतेन द्यावापृथिवी अभीवृते घृतश्रिया घृतपृचा घृतावृधा । उर्वी पृथ्वी होतृवूर्ये पुरोहिते ते इद्विप्रा ईळते सुम्नमिष्टये ॥

Transliteration

ghṛténa dyā́vāpṛthivī́ abhī́vr̥te ghṛtaśríyā ghṛtapŕ̥cā ghṛtāvŕ̥dhā | urvī́ pr̥thvī́ hotṛvū́rye puróhite té íd víprā īḷate sumnám iṣṭáye ||

Translation

Dengan ghṛta Langit dan Bumi terselubung; berseri dengan ghṛta, dipenuhi ghṛta, bertambah oleh ghṛta. Bumi yang luas, diletakkan di hadapan sebagai kuasa kependetaan bagi persembahan, diseru para ṛṣi: mereka memohon kurnia yang menyempurnakan yajña.
