Sukta 10.4
ब्रह्म च ते जातवेदो नमश्चेयं च गीः सदमिद्वर्धनी भूत् । रक्षा णो अग्ने तनयानि तोका रक्षोत नस्तन्वो अप्रयुच्छन् ॥
bráhma ca te jāta-vedo námaś ceyáṃ ca gī́ḥ sádám íd várdhanī bhūt | rákṣā ṇo agne tánayāni tokā́ rákṣota nas tanvò ápra-yucchan ||
Bagimu, wahai Jātavedas, ada Brahman (sabda suci) dan penghormatan; dan nyanyian ini—semoga sentiasa menjadi penambah. Peliharalah bagi kami, wahai Agni, anak-anak kami dan kesinambungan zuriat kami; peliharalah juga tubuh-tubuh kami, agar tidak terlucut daripada pegangan yang benar.
