Sukta 1.55
त्वं तमिन्द्र पर्वतं न भोजसे महो नृम्णस्य धर्मणामिरज्यसि । प्र वीर्येण देवताति चेकिते विश्वस्मा उग्रः कर्मणे पुरोहितः ॥
tváṃ tám indra párvataṃ ná bhojase mahó nṛmṇásya dhármaṇām irajyasi | prá vīryeṇa devátāti cekite víśvasmā ugráḥ kármaṇe puróhitaḥ ||
Wahai Indra, engkau tidak menyusut seperti gunung yang terhakis dimakan; engkau menyala dalam hukum-hukum agung daya kepahlawanan. Dengan keperkasaanmu, kerja ilahi menjadi nyata; bagi setiap perbuatan engkau berdiri di hadapan—yang garang, sang perintis, pemimpin usaha menuju kemenangan.
