वैवाहिकसंबन्ध
निश्चयः / Fixing the Mithila-Ayodhya Marital Alliance
अचिन्त्यान्यप्रमेयानि कुलानि नरपुङ्गव ।
इक्ष्वाकूणां विदेहानां नैषां तुल्योऽस्ति कश्चन ॥२॥
acintyāny aprameyāni kulāni narapuṅgava |
ikṣvākūṇāṃ videhānāṃ naiṣāṃ tulyo 'sti kaścana ||2||
Wahai insan termulia, keturunan diraja Ikṣvāku dan Videha itu tidak terbayang oleh fikiran dan tidak terukur; tiada sesiapa pun yang setara dengan dua wangsa tersebut.
"O Pre-eminent among men! the glory of the two races of Ikshvakus as also of Videhas is in comprehensible and immeasurable. There is none equal to these kings of the Ikshvakus and Videhas.
Kuladharma and rājadharma: the verse upholds the idea that noble lineages are measured by their sustained commitment to righteous conduct, not merely by power or wealth.
