Sukta 3
mā́ naḥ pā́śaṃ práti muco gurúr bhā́ro laghúr bhava | vadhū́m iva tvā śā́le yatrakā́maṃ bharāmasi ||
Cast not back upon us the noose: let the heavy burden be made light. Like a bride, O Hall, we bear thee onward, even as we list, unto the place desired.
Rishi: Atharvanic domestic corpus (not explicit here)
Devata: Śālā personified; apotropaic force against Pāśa (often associated with Varuṇa in broader Vedic thought)
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like
Primary: shanta
Secondary: shringara
