अह्ने॑ च त्वा॒ रात्र॑ये चो॒भाभ्यां॒ परि॑ दद्मसि । अ॒राये॑भ्यो जिघ॒त्सुभ्य॑ इ॒मं मे॒ परि॑ रक्षत
áhne ca tvā rā́traye cobhā́bhyāṃ pári dadmasi | arā́yebhyo jighatsúbhya imáṃ me pári rakṣata ||
To Day and unto Night, to both together, we commit thee round about. From foes, from the hungry that would seize, do ye protect this man of mine on every side.
Kepada Siang dan kepada Malam, kepada kedua-duanya sekali gus, kami serahkan engkau dari segala sisi. Daripada musuh, daripada yang lapar yang hendak merampas, lindungilah orangku ini di sekelilingnya.
