Sukta 9.88
अग्निर्न यो वन आ सृज्यमानो वृथा पाजांसि कृणुते नदीषु । जनो न युध्वा महत उपब्दिरियर्ति सोमः पवमान ऊर्मिम् ॥
agnír na yó vána ā́ sṛjyámāno vṛ́thā pā́jāṃsi kṛṇute nadī́ṣu | jáno na yúdhvā maháta úpabdir íyarti sómaḥ pávamāna ū́rmim ||
Seperti Agni yang dilepaskan ke rimba, ia membuat daya-dayanya menyala di sepanjang sungai-sungai. Seperti suatu kaum yang bertempur dengan gemuruh besar, Soma yang dimurnikan mendorong maju gelombang—semburan daya yang menerjang.
