Sukta 9.88
एते सोमा अति वाराण्यव्या दिव्या न कोशासो अभ्रवर्षाः । वृथा समुद्रं सिन्धवो न नीचीः सुतासो अभि कलशाँ असृग्रन् ॥
eté sómā áti vārā́ṇy avyā́ divyā́ na kośā́so abhrá-varṣāḥ | vṛ́thā samudráṃ síndhavo na nīcī́ḥ sutā́so abhí kalaśā́ṃ asṛgran ||
Aliran-aliran Soma ini melampaui saringan wol; laksana bejana-bejana surgawi yang menumpahkan dari awan. Dengan daya, seperti sungai-sungai mengalir turun menuju samudra, Soma yang diperas itu berlari masuk ke dalam kendi-kendi—ke dalam wadah penampung kesadaran.
