Sukta 7.18
धेनुं न त्वा सूयवसे दुदुक्षन्नुप ब्रह्माणि ससृजे वसिष्ठः । त्वामिन्मे गोपतिं विश्व आहा न इन्द्रः सुमतिं गन्त्वच्छ ॥
dhenuṃ na tvā sūyavase dudhukṣann upa brahmāṇi sasṛje vasiṣṭhaḥ | tvām in me gopatiṃ viśva āhā na indraḥ sumatiṃ gantu accha ||
Seperti memerah susu sapi demi padang rumput yang subur, demikianlah Vasiṣṭha telah memeras dan menghamparkan mantra-mantra menuju engkau. Semua menyerukan engkau sebagai gopati, tuan atas ‘sapi-sapi cahaya’ (sinar); semoga Indra datang kepada kami membawa sumati, anugerah pengertian yang benar.
