Sukta 10.28
एवा हि मां तवसं जज्ञुरुग्रं कर्मन्कर्मन्वृषणमिन्द्र देवाः । वधीं वृत्रं वज्रेण मन्दसानोऽप व्रजं महिना दाशुषे वम् ॥
evā́ hí māṃ tavásaṃ jajñúr ugráṃ kárman-karman vṛ́ṣaṇam indra devā́ḥ | vadhī́ṃ vṛtráṃ vájreṇa mandasā́nó 'pá vrajáṃ mahinā́ dāśúṣe vam ||
Demikianlah para dewa melahirkan aku—kuat dan dahsyat—seekor banteng daya dalam tiap perbuatan, wahai Indra. Aku menewaskan Vṛtra dengan vajra dalam ekstasi; dengan kemuliaanku kubuka kandang itu bagi sang pemberi.
