Sukta 1.52
स पर्वतो न धरुणेष्वच्युतः सहस्रमूतिस्तविषीषु वावृधे । इन्द्रो यद्वृत्रमवधीन्नदीवृतमुब्जन्नर्णांसि जर्हृषाणो अन्धसा ॥
sá párvato ná dharuṇéṣv ácyutaḥ sahásramūtis táviṣīṣu vāvṛdhe | índro yád vṛtrám ávadhīn nadīvṛ́tam ubjánn arṇā́ṃsi járhṛṣāṇo ándhasā ||
Ia berdiri laksana gunung, tak tergoyahkan pada landasannya; yang bertumpu seribu pertolongan itu bertambah dalam daya-dayanya. Ketika Indra membunuh Vṛtra, penahan aliran sungai, ia memeras dan meluapkan air-banjir, bersorak girang oleh kenikmatan Soma.
