Sukta 4.39
इन्द्रमिवेदुभये वि ह्वयन्त उदीराणा यज्ञमुपप्रयन्तः । दधिक्रामु सूदनं मर्त्याय ददथुर्मित्रावरुणा नो अश्वम् ॥
índram ivéd ubháye ví hvayanta udī́rāṇā yajñám upaprayántaḥ | dadhikrā́m u sū́danaṃ mártyāya dadáthur mitrā́varuṇā no aśvám ||
मानो इन्द्र को पुकारते हुए, दोनों पक्ष आह्वान करते हैं—उदीर्ण होकर, यज्ञ की ओर अग्रसर होते हुए। मित्र और वरुण ने हमें मर्त्य-यात्रा के लिए दधिक्रावन्—विजय की ओर धकेलने वाला प्रेरक अश्व—प्रदान किया है।
