Sukta 4.17
भिनद्गिरिं शवसा वज्रमिष्णन्नाविष्कृण्वानः सहसान ओजः । वधीद्वृत्रं वज्रेण मन्दसानः सरन्नापो जवसा हतवृष्णीः ॥
bhinád giríṃ śávasā vájram iṣṇánnā́viṣkṛṇvānáḥ sahasāná ójaḥ | vadhīd vṛtráṃ vájreṇa mandasānáḥ sárann ā́po jávasā hatá-vṛṣṇīḥ ||
તેણે પોતાની શક્તિના બળથી અવરોધક ગિરિને ભેદી, વજ્ર ફેંક્યો; વિજયી ઓજસથી ગુપ્ત રહેલું પ્રગટ કર્યું. સોમ-મદમાં મન્દિત થઈ તેણે વજ્રથી વૃત્રને વધ્યો; ત્યારબાદ હત-વૃષણી (રોકનાર શક્તિ હણાયેલી) જળધારાઓ ઝડપી વેગે સરસર વહેવા લાગી.
