Sukta 1.56
देवी यदि तविषी त्वावृधोतय इन्द्रं सिषक्त्युषसं न सूर्यः । यो धृष्णुना शवसा बाधते तम इयर्ति रेणुं बृहदर्हरिष्वणिः ॥
devī́ yádi tavíṣī tvā́vṛdhōtáya índraṃ síṣakty uṣásaṃ ná sū́ryaḥ | yó dhṛṣṇúnā śávasā bā́dhate táma íyarti réṇuṃ bṛhád arhariṣváṇiḥ ||
જ્યારે દેવી શક્તિ—તારી વધતી તવિષી—અમારી સહાય માટે ઇન્દ્રને જોડે છે, જેમ સૂર્ય ઉષાને જોડે છે; ત્યારે જે ધૃષ્ણુ બળથી અંધકારને હાંકે છે, તે મહાન ધૂળને ગતિમાં મૂકે છે—હરિષ્વણિ (હરિત અશ્વોવાળો) ગર્જના કરતો ધસી જાય છે.
