इन्द्रो न यो महा कर्माणि चक्रिर्हन्ता वृत्राणामसि सोम पूर्भित् । पैद्वो न हि त्वमहिनाम्नां हन्ता विश्वस्यासि सोम दस्योः ॥

Transliteration

índro na yó mahā́ kármāṇi cakrír hantā́ vṛtrā́ṇām asi soma pū́r-bhit | paidvó na hí tvám ahi-nāmnām hantā́ víśvasyāsi soma dásyoḥ ||

Translation

Tel Indra qui accomplit les grandes œuvres, tu es le tueur des entraves, ô Soma, le briseur des forteresses. Car toi, en vérité, tel le fils de Paidva, tu es le meurtrier des puissances dites « serpents »; tu es, ô Soma, l’anéantisseur de tout Dasyu.
