Sukta 8.3
येना समुद्रमसृजो महीरपस्तदिन्द्र वृष्णि ते शवः । सद्यः सो अस्य महिमा न संनशे यं क्षोणीरनुचक्रदे ॥
yéna samudrám asṛ́jo mahī́r apás tád índra vṛ́ṣṇi te śávaḥ | sadyáḥ só asya mahimā́ ná saṃnáśe yáṃ kṣoṇī́r anucakradé ||
Par quoi tu as fait jaillir l’océan, les grandes eaux — telle est, ô Indra, ta force taurine (vṛṣṇi), ta puissance. Aussitôt sa grandeur ne décroît pas : à lui les domaines de la terre se conforment dans leur course circulaire.
