Sukta 7.30
हवन्त उ त्वा हव्यं विवाचि तनूषु शूराः सूर्यस्य सातौ । त्वं विश्वेषु सेन्यो जनेषु त्वं वृत्राणि रन्धया सुहन्तु ॥
hávanta u tvā havyáṃ vívāci tanū́ṣu śūrā́ḥ sū́ryasya sātáu | tváṃ víśveṣu sényo jáneṣu tváṃ vṛtrā́ṇi randhayā suhántu ||
Ils t’invoquent — toi, l’oblation (havyá) — d’une parole qui porte au loin; les héros, dans leurs propres corps, pour la conquête du Soleil. Tu es le digne du combat parmi tous les peuples; tu soumets les Vṛtra (vṛtrā́ṇi), les puissances d’obstruction, afin qu’ils soient bien frappés et mis à mort.
