वक्ष्यन्तीवेदा गनीगन्ति कर्णं प्रियं सखायं परिषस्वजाना । योषेव शिङ्क्ते वितताधि धन्वञ्ज्या इयं समने पारयन्ती ॥
vakṣyántīvedā́ ganīganti kárṇaṃ priyáṃ sákhāyaṃ pariṣasvajānā́ | yóṣeva śíṅkte vitatā́dhi dhánvan jyā́ iyáṃ sámane pāráyantī ||
Telle une femme en désir, elle revient sans cesse à l’oreille, enlaçant le compagnon aimé ; telle une épouse, elle se pare — cette corde d’arc, tendue sur l’arc, qui fait passer au-delà dans l’affrontement.
