उपक्षेतारस्तव सुप्रणीतेऽग्ने विश्वानि धन्या दधानाः । सुरेतसा श्रवसा तुञ्जमाना अभि ष्याम पृतनायूँरदेवान् ॥

Transliteration

upa-kṣetā́ras táva supranīté ’gne víśvāni dhányā dádhānāḥ | surétasā śrávasā túñjamānā abhí syāma pṛtanāyū́ṃr ádevān ||

Translation

Puissions-nous demeurer près de toi, ô Agni, sous ta bonne conduite, portant toutes les prospérités. Nous pressant en avant avec la noble semence de force et avec la renommée, puissions-nous vaincre ceux qui cherchent la bataille, privés du divin.
