Sukta 2.23
देवाश्चित्ते असुर्य प्रचेतसो बृहस्पते यज्ञियं भागमानशुः । उस्रा इव सूर्यो ज्योतिषा महो विश्वेषामिज्जनिता ब्रह्मणामसि ॥
devā́ś cit te asurya prá-cetaso bṛ́haspate yajñíyaṃ bhāgám ānaśuḥ | usrā́ iva sū́ryo jyótiṣā mahó víśveṣām íj janitā́ bráhmaṇām asi ||
Même les dieux, ô asurya, toi le lumineux, clairvoyants en conscience, ô Bṛhaspati, ont obtenu par toi leur part sacrificielle. Comme le Soleil, par la grande clarté des vaches de l’aurore (uṣrā), tu es en vérité le géniteur de tous les brahman (formules sacrées), la source de la Parole créatrice en toute puissance.
