त्रिपादूर्ध्व उदैत्पुरुषः पादोऽस्येहाभवत्पुनः । ततो विष्वङ्व्यक्रामत्साशनानशने अभि ॥
Transliteration
tripā́d ūrdhvó udaít púruṣaḥ pā́do ’syehā́bhavat púnaḥ | táto víṣvaṅ vy àkrāmat sāśanānaśáne abhí ||
Translation
Trois quarts de Puruṣa s’élevèrent vers le haut; un quart de lui redevint ici. De là, il se déploya de toutes parts — vers ce qui mange et vers ce qui ne mange pas.
