गीर्णं भुवनं तमसापगूळ्हमाविः स्वरभवज्जाते अग्नौ । तस्य देवाः पृथिवी द्यौरुतापोऽरणयन्नोषधीः सख्ये अस्य ॥

Transliteration

gīrṇaṃ bhuvanaṃ tamasā apagūḷham āviḥ svaḥ abhavaj jāte agnau | tasya devāḥ pṛthivī dyauḥ utāpo ’raṇayann oṣadhīḥ sakhye asya ||

Translation

Le monde, englouti et caché par les ténèbres, devint manifeste — le domaine lumineux apparut quand Agni naquit. Pour son amitié, les dieux — la Terre et le Ciel, et aussi les Eaux — firent naître les plantes.
