तेऽवर्धन्त स्वतवसो महित्वना नाकं तस्थुरुरु चक्रिरे सदः । विष्णुर्यद्धावद्वृषणं मदच्युतं वयो न सीदन्नधि बर्हिषि प्रिये ॥

Transliteration

té ’vardhanta svátavaso mahitvánā nā́kaṃ tasthur urú cakrire sádaḥ | víṣṇur yád dhā́vad vṛ́ṣaṇaṃ madacyútam váyo ná sī́dann ádhi bárhiṣi priyé ||

Translation

Eux, forts d’eux-mêmes par leur propre puissance, grandirent au large par leur grandeur; ils prirent place au ciel et s’y firent un vaste siège. Et lorsque Vishnu mit en mouvement le Taureau impétueux, qui ne déchoit pas de l’ivresse extatique, ils s’assirent, tels des souffles de vie, sur l’herbe sacrificielle aimée, le Barhis.
