Sukta 1.166
नित्यं न सूनुं मधु बिभ्रत उप क्रीळन्ति क्रीळा विदथेषु घृष्वयः । नक्षन्ति रुद्रा अवसा नमस्विनं न मर्धन्ति स्वतवसो हविष्कृतम् ॥
nityaṃ na sūnuṃ madhu bibhrata upa krīḷanti krīḷā vidatheṣu ghṛṣvayaḥ | nakṣanti rudrā avasā namasvinaṃ na mardhanti sva-tavaso haviḥ-kṛtam ||
Toujours, comme portant un fils bien-aimé, ils portent la douceur miellée de la joie; les Maruts impétueux jouent dans les assemblées, dans les vidatha, les ardents. Les Rudra atteignent l’adorant par leur secours; forts d’eux-mêmes, ils n’écrasent pas celui qui a façonné l’offrande, qui a fait de son acte une oblation consacrée.
