Sukta 1.116
वीळुपत्मभिराशुहेमभिर्वा देवानां वा जूतिभिः शाशदाना । तद्रासभो नासत्या सहस्रमाजा यमस्य प्रधने जिगाय ॥
vīḷupátmabhir āśuhémabhir vā devā́nāṃ vā jūtíbhiḥ śā́śadānā | tád rāsábho nāsatyā sahásram ā́jā yámasya pradháne jigāya ||
Par des foulées fermes et volantes, ou par de rapides élans d’or, ou par l’assaut des vitesses mêmes des dieux, pressant toujours en avant—ainsi, ô Nāsatyas, l’âne remporta mille dans la joute de Yama. Ainsi que vos puissances triomphent en nous, arrachant à la limite et à l’habitude tournée vers la mort une abondance de force.
